Just how influential are bloggers when it comes to driving sales? The answer: Very! We recently surveyed social media-savvy women in the Clever Girls Collective network about their 2012 holiday shopping plans to understand how and when social media influences their purchasing decisions.We pulled together the results in our Social Media and the Holiday Shopper Infographic.
The results will not be a surprise to any of our network members who create content (written or visual) to help our clients tell their brand stories. The fact that 93.3% of our members say they have purchased something because a blogger recommended or that over 30% of women surveyed are influenced by brands sharing special offers via social media is a testament to how hard we work to create authentic, exciting campaigns that allow bloggers to do what they do best—create compelling content around key messaging—that builds trust with their engaged communities.
We hope you’ll decide to share this infographic with your engaged communities so they can understand just how influential bloggers can be. And, we’d especially like brands to know that regardless of where women shop—online or in-store—social media women are paying attention. Sharing coupons, offers tips and trips via social channels like Facebook and Twitter is very likely to turn us into your customers this holiday season.
